CAN I BRING MY X-RAY OR MRI WITH ME?

Yes that would be great! Any imaging that you have of the injury helps us in the diagnosis process. If you have the CD or written report please bring them along.

WHAT CONDITIONS DO YOU TREAT?

  • Back and neck problems: Whiplash, Slipped disc, Trapped nerves and sciatica, Spondylosis and ‘wear and tear’.

  • Joint problems: Arthritis. Pain, swelling, stiffness in any joint including ‘frozen shoulder’, ‘tennis and golfers’ elbow’.

  • Muscle and soft tissue injuries: Sprains, repetitive strain, ‘pulled muscles’.

  • Sports injuries: Muscles, ligaments, tendons, cartilage.

  • Headaches

  • Post-injury rehabilitation: Following injury (including fractures), we can assist your recovery and get you back to normal as soon as possible. This can include getting you back to work or returning to sports.

  • Post-surgery rehabilitation: Physiotherapy is recommended following various operations such as spinal surgery, joint replacements, soft tissue repair or release amongst other procedures. Again we can facilitate a speedier recovery. The staff at Grove Physiotherapy work closely with regional Orthopaedic and Neurology consultants in providing first class rehabilitation programmes.

  • Postural and work-related problems: Lifting injuries, RSI (repetitive strain).

HOW LONG BEFORE I START TO NOTICE RESULTS?

Everyone’s case is different. When it comes to injury treatment it is rare that we see two identical cases. However all of our clients notice changed from 1-6 sessions.

Typically, we expect clients to feel better within the first couple of symptom management/hands-on sessions.

However, this is where many clients will drop out of treatment. The symptoms may have reduced, but often these results are only temporary. This is why it is important to stick with your recovery plan and see it through to the end.

The rehabilitation phase of your program is where the long-lasting results begin to take shape. Through specifically tailored strengthening and mobility exercises your physiotherapist will prepare your body to reach its full potential.

While the nature of many injuries can be unpredictable, your physiotherapist will always keep you informed on your recovery timeframes, be completely transparent with what is and isn’t working, and mange your expectations throughout your recovery experience.

ARE YOUR TEAM PROFESSIONALLY REGISTERED?

All our physiotherapists have completed an undergraduate or Masters degree in Physiotherapy, are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and have full membership status with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

You can check your professionals registration status at the HCPC using their registration number or Surname.

DO I NEED TO BE REFERRED?

You can see any of our physiotherapists without a referral if you plan to pay for your appointment yourself.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE A COMPLAINT?

If for any reason you are unhappy with the service you have received, please do not hesitate to speak to your treating physiotherapist or email us at Jonathan@elementphysiotherapy.co.uk

One of our team will get back to you within 2 working days. We take all complaints very seriously and use every piece of feedback as an opportunity to improve our service.

CAN I USE MY PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE?

If you have private health insurance and physiotherapy is included in your policy, it’s super simple to pay for your appointments through your provider.

All we need are a few details up front, and we will sort the rest behind the scenes with your provider.

We are registered with all major medical insurance companies including BUPA, AXA PPP, Nuffield health, Standard Life and Aviva (formerly Norwich Union).
